DISCLAIMER
This tool is designed to help conjugate A-Stem and I-Stem Verbs in Sindarin. While it strives for accuracy, please be aware that:
A-Stem verbs ending in (anna): Haplology proabably takes place for these verbs ie. panna- “to open, enlarge” would yeild pannannen in past tense, and may reduce to pannen
Complexity of Sindarin: Sindarin is a constructed language with intricate rules, including vowel changes, consonant mutations, and contextual variations. Although this tool aims to account for these complexities, some nuances may not be fully captured.
Potential for Errors: Despite my best efforts, certain renditions may be incorrect. The complexity of the language and the limitations of algorithmic processing mean that not all rules or vowel changes can be perfectly represented.
User Responsibility: It is advisable to cross-reference the results with trusted Sindarin resources or consult with knowledgeable linguists to ensure accuracy, especially for scholarly or formal work.
Updates and Feedback: This tool is continuously evolving. If you encounter any errors or have suggestions for improvement, your feedback is highly valued and will contribute to enhancing the accuracy and functionality of this conjugator.
The verb car-/caw- debate
The debate around the verb forms car- and caw- stems from attested instances of both, each accompanied by short vowels. This conjugator accounts for those but uses the long ó for the rest of its conjugations:
agor "made, did" (WJ/415)
agorech "*we have done" 1st PL Inclusive (VT50/21, Noldorin 1949)
